Asian photographer Johnson Wee is an upcoming raw talent specializing in pre wedding and engagement shoots. Hailing from a family of great professional photographers (granduncle was an Hon FBIPP), JOHNSON WEE had no interest in photography during his early years. It was until he took up the job of assistant photographer following his mothers recommendation, when his first photography education started. His journey into the world of photography took flight and has never slowed down ever since. Johnson’s interest towards the world of fashion and the dramatic edge of artsy movies from the likes of Martin Scorcese and Wes Anderson helped develop his cinematic and unique concept in creating his work. His exceptional capability to discover innovative out of the box ideas and applying these to his masterpiece is second to none. Engaging the ability to turn the picture into a magical and emotionally stimulating attachment is what he has consistently been linked to. Upon entry into professional photography competitions for 2 1/2years only, he has raked up more than 200 international awards, including the first ever Asian photographer to score a perfect 100 points in WPPI competitions and also the prestigious 2015 MPA Overseas Master Photographer of the Year. A Master of WPPI, WPPI online and print competition judge and also a Fellow of the Master Photographer’s Association (UK), Johnson is regularly traveling around the world for overseas elopement and pre-wedding assignments, as has been invited as a speaker and educator to USA, UK, Greece, Turkey, Italy, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia for countless photography conferences and workshops.
